New species of unknown people discovered

An international group of scientists believes they have found the remains of ancient people who belong to an unknown species of man in the Philippines.

Report informs that study of scientists published in the journal Nature indicates that the remains of three individuals were found in the cave of Callao on the Philippine island of Luzon. The small-bodied hominin, named Homo luzonensis, lived on the island of Luzon at least 50,000 to 67,000 years ago. The hominin—identified from a total of seven teeth and six small bones—hosts a patchwork of ancient and more advanced features..

The researchers concluded that tt further highlights remarkable diversity of archaic (primitive) hominins once present in Asia, in a way beyond my expectation.

Earlier it was reported that the oldest example of abstract painting was found in South Africa.
