Baku. 7 July. REPORT.AZ/ Ice cream and cool watermelon are given to the animals kept at a zoo in Rome, Italy in order to protect them from the heat and sunstroke.

Report informs, Russian media says. 

Zoo employees said that the monkeys and bears seem to be satisfied with the food given to them.

According to the director of the zoo, Federico Koccia, feeding animals in this kind of food helps to protect them from sunstroke and the development of their mental activity, as well as to stay in a good form: "We are giving them ice cream. It's very fun. They should find fruits and vegetables in ice cream. It can affect the development of intellect of animals."

In recent days, the weather is hot in Italy. The temperature is expected to rise to 35 degrees in the next few days.
