Urban resilience does not require large expenditures; on the contrary, it is one of the most strategic and effective investments in sustainable development, stated UN Resident Coordinator in Türkiye Babatunde Ahonsi at a conference within the framework of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that civil society, academia, the private sector, and especially affected communities must be involved in the process as active participants in recovery.
"Undoubtedly, the unified UN approach also plays an important role here. As a UN country team, we strive to practically implement this approach in recovery efforts by creating innovative coordination mechanisms in affected regions," he added.
