Cities must continue to respond to people's needs, stated Luis Gallegos, Chair of the UN Global Partnership on Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies, at the NGO forum held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.
He noted that cities must continue to respond to people's needs:
"We need cities that are suitable for the lives of women, men, and children. However, special attention must be paid to elderly people and persons with disabilities. Making decisions for three billion people is a difficult task. The best form we have for solving these problems is cooperation, and the General Assembly must be part of it."
