Urban challenges are interconnected and cannot be addressed in isolation, Vicle Toujar, a representative of the Partnerships Division of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at the Assembly of the Global Water Operators' Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) within the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13, according to Report.
"Issues related to sanitation, transport and other public utilities are closely interconnected. For sustainable urban development, it is necessary to expand cooperation between local and regional authorities, the private sector, academia, youth and women. These issues cannot be addressed in isolation. It is important that everyone participates in this process," he said.
