U20 chairman: Cities to need 290,000 managers in next 25 years

Cities will need 290,000 qualified leaders over the next 25 years, Urban 20 (U20) chairman Fahd Al-Rasheed said at an event at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
He stated that cities will have to address not only climate issues but also social equality and technological change, so leaders capable of managing such complex systems are needed: "Cities generate 85% of global GDP but also produce 70% of global emissions, meaning they are at the center of the climate battle... (...)...Over the next 25 years, more than 2 billion people will move to our cities, and we will need 290,000 MBA graduates. This translates to 12,000 per year."
