A single digital permit is needed for transportation along the Middle Corridor, Julius Skačkauskas, Manager of the Transport Innovation Association (TIA) operating in Lithuania, said at the 2nd Caspian International Forum on Transport, Transit, and Logistics in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, one of the key challenges facing the Middle Corridor is digitalization.
"Having vehicle permits is a good thing. However, we need to create a 'Single Middle Corridor Permit' system. This means that instead of five or six different permits, we need a single digital permit for all routes. Lithuania supports this initiative. Different countries can jointly advocate for the creation of such a system," Skačkauskas said.
