Tariff Council approves unified rates for connection to water supply and sewerage systems

Unified rates for connection to water supply and sewerage systems have been approved in Azerbaijan for the first time.

According to Report, the decision was made at a meeting of the Tariff Council.

Previously, these works were carried out without state regulation, and there was no fixed cost for the services provided.

The one-time water supply connection tariff for Baku, Sumgayit, Khirdalan, and Absheron district is set at 200 manats, and 170 manats for other administrative-territorial units. The sewerage connection tariff for Baku, Sumgayit, Khirdalan, and Absheron district will be 345 manats, and 290 manats for other administrative-territorial units.

For construction facilities with consumption up to 100 cubic meters per day, water supply connection tariffs depend on pipe diameter - 995 or 1015 manats, and 1635 manats for sewerage system connection.

Connection works performed at the construction facility's expense cover distances up to 30 meters. If the distance exceeds 30 meters, the expansion of the existing network is carried out by the supplier without additional payment.

The new regulation will reduce connection costs, improve service quality, financial transparency and accounting, and allow entrepreneurs to calculate expenses in advance when investing.
