Shortly after taking off from Germany, an Il-76 plane of Azerbaijan's Silk Way Airlines flying en route from Leipzig to Gao (Mali) had a hydraulic system failure and had to land at the airport, the company’s press service told Report.

The plane landed safely at Leipzig/Halle airport in eastern Germany and is undergoing maintenance.

We would like to inform you that in accordance with the rules of flight operations and the instructions of the manufacturer, as well as the instructions of the ground services, in order to ensure the safety of the aircraft during an unplanned landing, the fuel on board should be adjusted to the appropriate level,” Silk Way Airlines said.
