The issues being addressed in the customs sector are aimed at providing more flexibility for business in the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, told journalists, Report informs.
"The issues we are trying to solve in the customs sector aim to provide more flexibility for businesses and people of OTS member countries. We have several ongoing projects. Previously, we worked on initiatives such as e-TIR, and e-CMR. We cooperate not only with OTS member states but also with international organizations such as the UN Economic Cooperation and the International Road Transport Union.
We are discussing these issues within the framework of the 10th Meeting of Heads of Customs Administrations held in Baku, and I hope that by the end of the meeting, we will find a solution to improve the situation in this area," he emphasized.
