Russia agreed to finance Rasht-Astara railway project

Baku. 25 November. REPORT. AZ/ Russia has agreed on joint financing of construction of Rasht-Astara (Iran) railway project within the framework of the North-South international transport corridor.
Report informs, First Vice-President ofRussian Railways Alexander Misharin said.
"We have already received a business plan. The document has been reviewed and recommendations prepared.
Proposals will be presented to Azerbaijan and Iran in near future", A. Misharin added.
"Russian Railways" did not disclose the amount of funds intended for the project.
