Rufat Mahmud: 'We are preserving Icherisheher as unique urban model'

Azerbaijan's Icherisheher is being preserved as a unique urban model, while certain reforms are being implemented, Rufat Mahmud, chairman of the Board of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve, said at a discussion at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

He stated that the reforms being implemented are based on resident surveys.

"We conduct surveys among Icherisheher residents, discussing with them the benefits they can bring by living here. Based on these surveys, we also identify and systematize problems and seek solutions," Mahmud said.

He also noted that resident trust is a key priority for such unique urban models.
