Riad Gasimov: WUF13 reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to innovation in urban development

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 currently taking place in Baku reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to urban transformation, international cooperation, and innovative approaches to urban development, Riad Gasimov, Head of the Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Baku under the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during an event held within the framework of WUF13.

According to Report, he described the hosting of WUF13 in Baku as a great honor for Azerbaijan.

"Urban planning and architecture have become one of the main priorities of our national development agenda. This commitment has been further strengthened by the declaration of 2026 as the ‘Year of Urban Planning and Architecture,'" he said.
