Housing is a fundamental component of a secure existence, strengthening family values, obtaining education and employment, engaging in social processes, and overcoming the cycle of poverty, Turkish Deputy Minister of Environment, Urban Development, and Climate Change Omer Bulut said during a panel discussion titled "Housing for Social Inclusion and Ending Poverty," which was held at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, according to Report.
"For this reason, we must evaluate adequate housing in conjunction with guarantees of residential security, affordability, quality of construction, clean water, energy resources, transportation accessibility, availability of educational institutions, healthcare, employment opportunities, and the creation of a complete living environment," the deputy minister emphasized.
Bulut noted that Türkiye perceives the housing issue as one of the central elements of social inclusion, social unity, and sustainable development, taking into account adaptation to climate change.
