Fewer Azerbaijanis buy homes in Turkey

Azerbaijani citizens bought 146 homes in Turkey in December 2019, down 20 homes or 12.002% from 2018, Report says, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Throughout 2019, 1,191 Azerbaijani citizens bought houses in Turkey, down 59 homes, or 4.7% from 2018.

In December 2019, 5,351 foreign citizens bought houses in Turkey, which is 737 houses or 15.97% more than the previous year.

Totally 45,967 properties were sold to foreign citizens in 2019, up 5,923 properties, or 14.8% from 2018.

Iraq ranks 1st for the number of citizens buying houses in Turkey. Iranians purchased 897 houses in Turkey in December 2019, and 7,596 homes in 2019.

The next country is Iran, with 763 houses bought in December 2019, and 5,423 homes in 2019.

Russia ranked 3rd with 362 houses in December 2019, and 2,893 homes in 2019.
