During the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Baku Urban Week events spanned nine cities across the country, and the forum itself became a large-scale platform for public participation, Anar Guliyev, chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture and National Coordinator of WUF13, said at the forum's closing ceremony, Report informs.
According to him, more than 115,000 people participated in the 55 events and festivals held during the forum.
"This initiative allowed us to bring discussions about sustainable urban development to a wider audience. WUF13 was not limited to just the venue," Guliyev noted.
