Number of container trains passing through Azerbaijan on China-Europe route grows 5%

3,071 container trains traveled through Azerbaijan on the China-Europe route in 2019, making a 5 percent growth over 2018, which saw 2,925 trains pass via the country, Report says, citing Kazakh media.

According to the information, the trains became 15% faster in 2019, reaching a speed of 1,034 kilometers daily.

The container trains move from China to Europe through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, and Slovakia.
