Kazakhstan proposes to introduce e-TIR system to speed up cargo transportation between OTS countries

The implementation of the e-TIR information system will create significant advantages for carriers from member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, Kairzhan Zhumagulov, said at the 10th meeting of OTS customs service heads in Baku, Report informs.

He emphasized that the implementation of the e-TIR system is key to simplifying and accelerating cargo transportation within the OTS. "I am confident that our joint efforts to integrate the e-TIR system into national information systems will create many advantages for carriers," he stressed.

Zhumagulov also stated that Kazakhstan supports the prospects of interaction between customs services in the field of expertise and laboratory research: "A unified approach to applying testing methods for specific important goods will help increase the efficiency of OTS countries' customs services," he added.
