The way people-centered urban adaptation can be supported must be clarified.
Report informs that Katja Schaefer, inter-regional adviser at UN-Habitat, said this at a high-level dialogue titled "Climate-Resilient Cities and Communities in the Caspian Region: Vertical Climate Financing for Urban Adaptation," held as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
According to her, the discussions will continue in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan:
"Azerbaijan became the starting point for discussions on building climate-resilient cities in the Caspian region. As a result of all these discussions, we must clarify how climate finance, partnerships and innovation can support scalable, people-centered urban adaptation."
