The African regional ministerial meeting, taking place as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), is of paramount importance for the entire global community, African Union representative Issaka Garba Abdou said during the ministerial meeting in Baku, Report informs.
"The African continent must take a unified position at WUF13, as well as at the upcoming UN General Assembly meeting on the new urban agenda, on issues of housing finance, climate resilience in urban areas, inclusive land management, and decentralization. Africa must present itself not as a collection of disparate national positions, but as a unified continental program based on evidence and shared priorities," he emphasized.
