Iran, Azerbaijan to jointly continue building 2 hydropower plants

The governments of Iran and Azerbaijan have approved the continuation of construction of the Giz Galasi and Khudaferin hydropower plants on the Araz River, Report informs, referring to foreign media.
This was discussed in Iran at a meeting in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province.
The construction of hydropower plants between the aforementioned province and the Jabrayil district of Azerbaijan is one of the main projects implemented by the Iranian Ministry of Energy.
In December last year, Minister Reza Ardakanian said that the two countries had agreed to resume construction of hydropower plants.
