Guyana highlights systemic housing policy challenges in Caribbean region

The problems faced by Caribbean countries limit opportunities to effectively address housing issues and ensure sustainable urban development.

Report informs that Guyana's Minister of Housing and Water, Collin David Croal, said this at WUF13 in Baku.

According to him, Guyana, as a country undergoing transformation, continues to face numerous challenges in the housing sector.

He emphasized that the region needs affordable communities whose development will meet constantly growing demand.

According to the minister, countries in the region face demographic, economic, environmental and infrastructure challenges on a daily basis.
