Smart systems and eco-friendly materials are transforming life in cities, stated Gunel Aleskerova, a member of the Association of Construction Materials Manufacturers of Azerbaijan, at an event within the framework of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to her, smart systems are now widely used in both interiors and exteriors. "New materials absorb rainwater. Parks are being equipped with systems that cool water or generate energy from people's movement. Solar panels for traffic lights and water recycling in sewage systems have become part of modern infrastructure," she said.
Aleskerova noted that smart systems are capable of identifying risks of fire, floods, and other threats in advance.
