"Azerbaijan is one of our main economic partners, which is implementing international projects of strategic importance to us," Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili said.

According to the Georgian Bureau of Report, the Minister noted the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy: "This interaction not only ensures energy independence and energy security at the level of our countries, but is also linked significantly to Europe's energy security."

According to Davitashvili, Georgia and Azerbaijan have great potential to improve the coordination of the management of growing cargo flows both to the countries of the West and Central Asia. Both sides are ready to make prompt decisions to increase cargo turnover and flows from Georgia and Azerbaijan to the West and in the opposite direction, to the countries of Central Asia.

"There are all the prerequisites for this, and I think that we will have very clear agreements on this matter," he said.
