Expert: Population growth increases stress, traffic burdens, inequality

As populations grow, cities are facing serious challenges related to stress, transportation congestion, and social inequality, Shahnaz Badalova, the Deputy Head of the Urban Planning and Territorial Planning Department of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during WUF13 in Baku.
Report quotes her as saying cities today influence people's health, emotions, behavior, and quality of life, while psychological well-being is becoming an increasingly important focus of urban planning policy.
