Challenges in the housing sector are more long-term than fluctuations in the oil market, Patricia Scotland, representative of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, said at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
Scotland highlighted the need to focus on housing and its impact on vulnerable groups: "Energy prices may stabilize and adjust to the market. But families who lose access to adequate housing often cannot escape this problem for years, remaining in crisis. That is why the impact of the global housing crisis must be properly understood."
