As many Soviet-era residential buildings in Baku have reached the end of their service life, modern residential complexes and large parks are being constructed in their place, Eldar Azizov, Head of the Executive Authority of Baku, said.
According to Report, Azizov made the remarks at a roundtable held within the framework of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13).
He highlighted the importance of the White City project.
"The former industrial zone has been fully environmentally rehabilitated. The Sea Breeze project in the tourism sector, based on the city within a city concept, also deserves special mention," he said.
