Construction of a new railway from Astara to Iran ends

Baku. 7 November. REPORT.AZ/ Construction of 8.3 km new one-way railway from Azerbaijan's Astara station to Iran's state border has been completed.

4 stands and walls constructed and concreted over the Astara river bridge.

Spokesperson of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Nadir Azmammadov told Report that the final works are being done. At present, the arches and guardrails installation process is underway.

Construction of 82.5 meters long railway bridge over Astara river on Iranian state border have started on April 20, 2016.

13 water plants installed for wastewater discharge, 2 tunnels were built under the road bed for the purpose of inter-village road.
