Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project railwaymen awarded in Tbilisi

Baku. 28 November. REPORT.AZ/ Orders, medals and honorary titles awarded under the order of President of Azerbajan Ilham Aliyev to a group of railwaymen, distinguishing in the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project (BTK), were presented to their holders in the Georgian capital.

According to information, delivering a speech at the presentation, Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of the "Azerbaijan Railways" Management Board, spoke about importance of BTK project, realized at the initiative of Azerbaijan. According to him, commissioning of this road connecting Asia and Europe will play an important role in the development of regional states.

Gurbanov also said that according to the order of the Azerbaijani President, 4 persons were awarded "Honoured Engineer", 3 persons third degree "Labor Order" and 23 people "Taraggi" (Progress) medal. Two of the prizers are Georgian citizens.
