Baku Metro launches new trains

Baku Metro has put into use the two out of four trains brought from Russia in early June, Report informs, referring to Baku Metro.
Thus, the number of modern wagons in the Baku Metro has reached 13.
The other two trains are expected to put into operation soon after being tested. Generally, the renewal of rolling stock of the Baku Metro has started since 2015. According to the contract signed with Transmashholding in October 2019, Metrowagonmash plans to assemble 40 wagons within two years, which will form 8 trains in total. The maximum speed is 90 km/h, engine capacity – 170 kW. The carts have 38 seats and 44 seats.
