Azerbaijan to purchase diesel locomotives from Kazakhstan

Baku. 3 August. REPORT. AZ/ Today Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will sign an agreement on purchase of new freight wagons. 

Report informs, chairman of the "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC, Javid Gurbanov said.

J.Gurbanov noted that, this is the first such agreement in the history of independent Azerbaijan. Thus, freight trains are of Kazakhstan-US joint production. Due to the agreement, Azerbaijan will purchase 10 diesel locomotives.

J,Gurbanov said that, in the near future, also was planned to purchase 50 electric locomotives from the French "Altsom" company.
