Azerbaijan sends Kazakh citizens to their homeland

25 Kazakh, nine citizens of Azerbaijan having a residence permit in Kazakhstan, and 1 Georgian citizen, who remained in Azerbaijan due to the closure, were sent by ferry from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, Report says, citing Baku International Sea Trade Port.

The passengers went on board the ferry "Mercury 1 " (Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC) from the Baku port. Before the departure, all passengers passed the test for coronavirus, the results of which were negative.

Notably, since May 13, Kazakhstan has approved a new procedure for crossing the state border during the quarantine period. Therefore the Kuryk Port resumed accepting citizens of Kazakhstan and foreigners with a residence permit. In May and June, 53 citizens of Kazakhstan and 14 foreign citizens were sent from Baku Port.
