Azerbaijan sees sevenfold growth in automobile manufacture

Azerbaijan manufactured machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars and trailers worth AZN 91.7 mln in January-May 2019.

The State Statistical Committee told Report that production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers rose by 63.9%, machinery and equipment by 15.8%, and other transport facilities by 1.8%.

Azerbaijan manufactured 631 tractors, up 0.2% from the previous year.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan manufactured 926 private cars, up 7.1-fold by contrast to a year earlier.
