Azerbaijan posts 54% rise in car manufacture

Azerbaijan manufactured machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth AZN 124.8 million in January-April 2020.

The State Statistical Committee told Report that cars, trailers, and semi-trailers rose by 4.7-fold, other transport facilities went up 35.1%, and machinery and equipment production dropped by 23.8%,

Azerbaijan manufactured 672 private cars in the reporting period, up 54.1% from the previous year. As of May 1, 2020, stock of finished products made up 218.

105 tractors were manufactured in the reporting period, down 73.9% from a year earlier (finished products - 281).
