Azerbaijan and UAE discuss investments in priority areas

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) discussed investments in priority areas through the Joint Investment Fund, Report informs, citing the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and UAE Minister of Investment Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi.

The ministers emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE, based on principles of respect and mutual friendship, are developing on an upward trajectory, with expanding trade and economic partnership, and there is potential for strengthening cooperation between the countries in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, and finance.

In 2023, based on the document signed between the UAE and Azerbaijan, a Joint Investment Fund was established with a financial capacity of $1 billion.
