Azerbaijan is eager to expand its cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in areas such as promoting green infrastructure, building energy efficiency, and overall urban development, Report informs, citing the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan.
These discussions took place during a meeting between the committee chairman Anar Guliyev and ADB's Country Director for Azerbaijan, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal.
Guliyev emphasized the significance of the National Urban Assessment being implemented with ADB's support and the ongoing efforts on BIM technology implementation.
The chairman expressed his committee's interest in collaborating with ADB to foster a sustainable urban economy, promote green infrastructure, improve building energy efficiency, and support overall urban development in Azerbaijan.
The meeting also covered current and future projects, opportunities for international experience exchange, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Guliyev extended an invitation to the guest to attend the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku in 2026.
