In urban planning, the factor of psychological well-being must be brought to the forefront, Urban Planner and Associate Professor at ADA University Anar Valiyev said during WUF13 in Baku.
Report quotes him as saying that urban planning should take into account not only physical infrastructure, but also the psychological well-being of the population.
He noted that architecture and the urban environment directly affect levels of stress, depression, anxiety, and overall mental health, which became especially evident after the COVID-19 pandemic.
