Global airlines will reduce carbon emissions (CO2) to zero by 2050.
Some 290 companies, members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that provide 82% of air traffic, approved a relevant resolution yesterday, Report informs.
According to IATA, the measures to be taken by the airlines to achieve this goal include the active use of environmentally friendly aviation fuel (SAF), the introduction of new technologies, improving the efficiency of infrastructure, as well as the use of electricity and hydrogen engines.
