20 thousand SOCAR claims are under advisement in the courts

Baku. 25 February. REPORT.AZ/ 20 thousand claims of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) are under advisement in the courts related to the misappropriation of company-owned land.

Report informs it was stated by the head of legal department of SOCAR Eldar Orujov.

According E.Orudzhov, courts will examine about 500 claims monthly: To date, there are 19 500 of our claims under advisement in the courts. It is impossible to examine them in a single day.

So it was agreed to examine at least 400-500 lawsuits during the month.

Head of the Legal Department noted that they offer legal assistance to citizens to go to court over fraud on the part of municipalities and other dealers, but often are denied: Citizens waive our legal aid, because most of them initially know what land they acquire and consider pointless going to court.
