Number of new companies interested in Araz Valley Economic Zone announced

"There are 5 more companies wishing to become residents of the Araz Valley Economic Zone, which was founded by President Ilham Aliyev on October 5 in Jabrayil District," Elkhan Shiriyev, deputy director of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC under the Economy Ministry, said.

Negotiations are underway with these companies, he said.

The Araz Valley Economic Zone is located on the roads in the direction of the Zangazur corridor, which will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Kamaz Leasing Azerbaijan LLC, a local subsidiary of the Russian KamAZ OJSC, is currently designing to start construction in the area," Shiriyev said.

The Araz Valley Economic Zone covers an area of 200 hectares.
