Clothing production dwindles in Azerbaijan

In January-August 2021, Azerbaijan produced clothes worth 79 million manats ($46.49 million), which is 9.8% less than the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 417,200 pieces of outerwear (3 times more than a year ago), 442,500 pieces of underwear (50.3% more), over 2.059 million pairs of socks (18.1% more), 188,500 units of industrial and professional kits made of cotton or chemical fibers for men or boys (76.6% fewer), 4,487 units of suits for women (2.2 times more).
