Baku sees 1.2% growth in industrial production

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of industrial goods and services in Baku increased by 1.2% to AZN 8.8 billion in January-March this year, Report mentions, referring to the Baku City Statistics Office.

Of this, 77.6% of industrial output was formed in the mining sector, 18.6% in processing, 3.1% in production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.7% in water supply, waste treatment, and disposal.

The share of the private sector in the industry was 84.5%. The percentage of industrial products in total production was 89.9%, and industrial services were 10.1%.

Most of the products were sent to consumers, and taking into account the reserves created in previous periods, as of April 1 this year, the stocks of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 340.6 million manats.

In the warehouses of industrial enterprises, there were other products purchased from other enterprises and intended for sale in the amount of 84.3 million manats.
