Youth and Sports Ministry hosts Colombian women's volleyball team

Baku. 15 November. REPORT.AZ/ The Ministry of Youth and Sports has hosted members of the Colombian Children's volleyball team of girls, which is on a visit to Baku.

Spokesperson for the Ministry Samaya Mammadova told Report, the event took place as physical culture and sports exchange with Colombia.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov, Head of the ministry's administration Rufat Hasanov, Chief of the Sports Department Farid Mansurov and other officials attended the event.

In the meeting, Colombia was represented by Mission Head, Colombian Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Martha Galindo, official of the Colombian Foreign Ministry Culture Department, Andre Alfonso and other officials.

I.Ismayilov informed the guests about the recent works carried out in the field of sport in Azerbaijan, signed laws, hosted international-level sporting events. Deputy Ministry stressed great interest to volleyball in the country, also, close cooperation to develop this kind of sport by the federation and ministry.

Martha Galindo expressed deep gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for warm welcoming.
