World champion Magnus Carlsen plays basketball in Shamkir

Baku. 18 April. REPORT.AZ/ World Chess Champion, Magnus Carlsen arrived in Shamkir to take part in Vugar Hashimov Memorial.

Report was informed in the press service of "ShamkirChess2018" tournament, the Norwegian grandmaster expressed his desire to play basketball before the competition. Yesterday, Carlsen showed his skill at the basketball court about 1 hour.

Notably, opening ceremony of “ShamkirChess2018” tournament will be held at 18:30 in Heydar Aliyev Centre in Shamkir.
