World champion: ‘I am extremely happy that I won a gold medal in Baku’

“I am very happy that I won a gold medal in Baku,” the Polish athlete Kowalewicz Maciej, who won the gold medal in men’s 300m rifle 3 positions category at the World Championship held in Baku, Report informs.

The sport shooter commented on his success after the awarding ceremony: "I have high impressions about the competition. It isn’t my first time in Baku. I have been here before. It was not easy at all. But we managed to cope. I am also a member of the Polish military rifle team. Therefore, I love shooting. The category and distance of not important to me. I love 300-meter shooting competitions. However, I also compete in other sports."

Kowalewicz Maciej was crowned the world champion with 587 points.
