Unveiled freestyle wrestling squad for European Championships

Baku. 27 April. REPORT/AZ The squad of the Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team was announced for the European Championships in Kaspiysk, Russia.

Report informs, Georgy Ediserashvili (57 kg), Mirjalal Hasanzade (61 kg), Haji Aliyev (65 kg), Murtuzali Muslimov (70 kg), Joshgun Azimov (74 kg), Jabrayil Hasanov (79 kg) Alexander Gasiyev (86 kg), Sharif Sharifov (92 kg), Nurmakomed Hajiyev (97 kg) and Jamaladdin Mahammadov (125 kg) will go to neighboring country.

At the same time, coach, the I Vice-President of Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF), Firdovsi Umudov will be assisted by coaches Zalimkhan Huseynov and Arif Abdullayev.

Notably, fights of freestyle and female wrestlers will take place on May 2-6. Currently, the Italian and Azerbaijan national teams are in the training camp in Olympic Wrestling Center.
