Tyson Fury has today announced his retirement from boxing, Report informs via The Athletic.
The former world heavyweight champion posted a brief video on his Instagram page saying, “I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it and I’m going to end with this: “Dick Turpin wore a mask.”
The 36-year-old’s most recent outing came in Saudi Arabia last month where he suffered the second defeat of his professional career to Oleksandr Usyk. Fury fought the Ukrainian twice in 2024 and lost on the judges’ scorecards on both occasions.
