Baku. 14 April. REPORT.AZ/ The International Cycling Union's (UCI) "Tour d'Azerbaïdjan 2015" cycling race holding a category of 2.1, will start on May 6. Report was told by Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, participants will cover a total distance of 870 km in 5-day race.
Under the program, cyclists will compete on the routes of Baku-Sumgait (154 km) on May 6, Baku - Gobustan - Shamakha - Ismayilly (187 km) on May 7, Gabala - Oguz - Sheki - Oguz - Gabala (180 km) on May 8, Gabala - Aghdash - Yevlakh - Mingachevir (205 km). The final stage to take place in Baku on May 10 (144 km) will be held according to the route of Baku-2015 first European Games.
The participants of "Tour d' Azerbaïjan 2015" will be able to gather license points for Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Last 3 days of 5-day race will be broadcasted by "Eurosport".
