‘Preparations for the world championship proceed well and follow the plan. No athletes suffer from injuries. We aim for two medals in Baku," Erik Westerlund, Secretary General at Swedish Judo Federation, said while speaking about preparations for the World Championship (WC) to be held in Baku, according to Report.

He said the medals are expected from Anna Bernholm (70 kg) and Tommy Macias (73 kg) are expected to win medals.

He expressed his confidence that the WC will be organized on a high level: ‘Our national team has the information that they believe is necessary. We expect the best in terms of organization when it comes to IJF World Championship.'

The 2018 World Judo Championship will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan, between 20 and 27 September 2018
