Baku. 31 August. REPORT.AZ/ "When I was a kid, I had not been thinking about the Summer Olympic Games. I always dreamed to win world championship. However, I became an Olympic medalist and won the European championship title. And now, I fulfilled dream of my childhood in Budapest”.
Report was told by Rustam Orujov (73 kg), who won a silver medal at the 2017 World Judo Championship in Budapest, Hungary.
26-year-old judoka spoke about his serious preparation for the meeting to European Judo Union channel. He also clarified his emotional behavior when he defeated South Korean An Chang-rim in the semifinals: “I met Korean athlete to qualify for the finals. As I was defeated twice before, I was very emotionally depressed and could not take control of myself. We were seriously prepared for the competition. That's why I'm in a very good shape now. True, even though I have some injuries, they did not bother me and eventually I won a medal”.
